Jazz to Hold NBA Draft Party at EnergySolutions Arena

SALT LAKE CITY (June 4, 2014) – The Utah Jazz will host its annual NBA Draft Watching Party presented by Zero Fatalities at EnergySolutions Arena on Thursday, June 26. Admission is free. Doors open to the public at 4:30 p.m., with the broadcast of the 2014 NBA Draft, which originates from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., beginning at 5:30 p.m. (MT) on ESPN. ESPN’s “NBA Draft Preview” broadcast begins at 5 p.m.

The Jazz currently holds the 5th and 23rd picks in the first round and the 35th pick in the second round of the 2014 NBA Draft.

Utah Jazz broadcasters Craig Bolerjack and Ron Boone will serve as emcees for the evening’s festivities. Fans who attend the NBA Draft Watching Party presented by Zero Fatalities will be able to view the 2014 NBA Draft on the new video display system, featuring the twin, high-definition, center-hung screens that measure 42 feet long and 24 feet high.

The first 3,000 fans through the doors will receive a voucher for a free hot dog and drink as well as an NBA Draft Guide outlining the draft order and highlighting top prospects. Other highlights include live interviews with draft experts courtesy of The Zone Sports Network and ESPN Radio, autographs and photos with the American First Jazz Dancers, and entertainment by Jazz Bear. Concession stands will be open with a variety of food and refreshment options.

Zero Fatalities is conducting a series of fun and educational basketball contests on the court that will draw awareness to impaired, drowsy, distracted and aggressive vehicle driving behavior plus the importance of wearing a seat belt. Prizes include special Draft Day mini-balls and jerseys from Zero Fatalities as well as tickets to Utah Jazz, Salt Lake Bees and EnergySolutions Arena events. Customer service representatives will be available to help fans interested in 2014-15 Jazz season tickets.
